Grassroots GrantsSupport YOUR volunteers and train a Learning Champion for FREE*

Your people invest their valuable time and energy for a good cause, so why not give them ‘something back’ that will benefit your organisation too?

Training a Learning Champion would help manage the learning and development of your team by identifying any skills gaps, devising relevant training plans and, importantly, know where to find possible funding support to supplement your resources. For example, they could find out:

Who’s performing well and who needs more motivation or support Who could be developed, promoted or moved to a new role If staff have hidden skills that could be used to better advantage

The Learning Champion programme results in a Level 2 or 3 qualification and is FREE to organisations with under 250 staff; up to four Learning Champions can receive training depending on staff numbers*. The course can be completed in 12-20 weeks and, is designed to fit around work commitments: it comprises just one to three workshops at local venues, together with tutor support at your own premises and specially-prepared online resources.

Voluntary organisations with Learning Champions already in place are delighted with the results, as this feedback clearly shows:

Here’s what Learning Champions have said about the course:

“I found becoming a Learning Champion has been really worthwhile, and a constructive, immediately useful activity within my real-life work environment.”

“When you have nothing else to reward people with – try CPD”
