Our objectives are to promote and undertake charitable activities in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area. We support our community by recruiting volunteers who provide hundreds of hours of their time to improve the lives of those in need of support. We offer training and support to volunteers who provide services to individuals, charitable, voluntary and statutory organisations. Bury St Edmunds Volunteer Centre is an infrastructure organisation offering support, information and advice to vountary and community groups across the area.

Haverhill Association of Voluntary Organisations (HAVO)
The main purpose of HAVO is to act as an umbrella organisation in order to ensure that voluntary groups & charities are offered support, training, information and practical advice wherever possible. HAVO believes strongly in the support and services offered to our community by voluntary groups. HAVO recognises that only by working together can voluntary groups in Haverhill and the surrounding villages gain the resources needed to carry out this valuable work.

Haverhill and District Volunteer Centre
Haverhill Volunteer Centre is a local voluntary organisation that exists to promote and support volunteering in Haverhill and the surrounding areas. We actively recruit volunteers from all sections of the community, and places them with local voluntary organisations who are seeking volunteers to help with their work. We offer many services including volunteering opportunities for individuals, volunteer training and general advice for volunteers and organisations.

The Voluntary Network
The aims of The Voluntary Network are to raise awareness and knowledge about the voluntary sector in the locality and beyond. We raise awareness of the work of The Voluntary Network and the value of membership to all concerned with the voluntary sector and share information, resources, support and best practice between member groups in the wider community. We provide training and networking opportunities which meet the defined needs of the membership and identify need in the Forest Heath district and the adjacent villages in East Cambridgeshire and to encourage and support the development of new projects to meet such need.
